No. There is no sign-up, no email, no account required. Install the app and start learning.

Is it available on iPhone?
Not yet. Candle Trader is currently Android-only on Google Play. The iOS version is planned.

No. Candle Trader is built for complete beginners. Start with the 17 Basics lessons before moving on to patterns and indicators.
What candlestick patterns does the app cover?
All 35 major patterns, grouped by formation: single (Doji, Hammer, Shooting Star, Marubozu), double (Bullish/Bearish Engulfing, Harami, Tweezer), and triple (Morning Star, Evening Star, Three White Soldiers, Three Black Crows). Each pattern has an interactive chart and usage context.
Which technical indicators are included?
11 indicators: RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, moving averages (SMA, EMA), Stochastic, ATR, OBV, ADX, Ichimoku Cloud, and more. Each lesson comes with a practice calculator so you can feel how inputs change the output.
What does the Basics section teach?
17 beginner lessons covering how to read charts, timeframes, trend vs range, support and resistance, volume, market structure, and the difference between technical and fundamental analysis. This is the recommended starting point.
Which trading calculators are included?
5 calculators: position size, risk/reward ratio, pip value, stop-loss distance, and profit target. All work offline so you can plan trades without leaving the app.
Does the app teach risk management?
Yes. Risk management is covered in Basics lessons and reinforced by the calculators — position sizing, stop-loss placement, and risk/reward targets are hands-on tools, not just theory.
How do the quizzes work?
After each lesson there's a multiple-choice quiz with immediate feedback explaining why each answer is right or wrong. Questions reinforce the pattern, indicator, or concept you just studied.
